A Cute Patriotic Mini Quilt

101 Fabulous Small Quilts surely lives up to it's name.  It is one of those books that gives me the crazy notion of wanting to make every quilt in the book.  Mini's are my favorite quilts to make.  The patterns in the book are so varied and there is something to suit everybody's taste.  So.... with 4th of July being so hot on our heels, I decided to make this patriotic beauty.
The boys went out to have a sport day together and so the girls decided that a sewing day was in order. I made this from my STASH!  Not a single scrap of fabric or batting was bought to make this quilt.
It is all basted and ready to quilt.  I am so looking forward to getting it done.  I am binding in solid red.  I will show you the finished product as soon as I am done.
Happy stitching and thank you for stopping by.

A Little Wallet!

In amongst all the quilt making and huge projects, it is nice sometimes to make something small.  Something that takes less than an hour to make.  This was a fun little project from the "Cash and Carry" Atkinson Pattern.  This little wallet is a shop sample and it was so much fun to make that I will be making more of them.
Hope you are having a great day.  Happy stitching!

Patriotic Hexagon Table Centerpiece

You all know just how much I love English Paper Piecing!  Well I have been making seasonal center pieces for my table from the same pattern.  It is a quick make and just the right size - not intrusive on the table.
I started this project on Friday night.  I just love the fabric with the soldier and the flag!  Used nine soldiers in the centerpiece.  My boys attend The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and it so reminds me of their uniforms.
Here it is finished and on the table!  I love my little patriotic vignette!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Yoyo Christmas Tree Ornament!

Here is my completed yoyo Christmas Tree ornament.  I really like how it turned out.  It is very cheerful.  I am happy to be finished making all those yoyo's!  I really enjoy stitching around the clover yoyo maker, but the tying off of threads and the weaving in of the loose threads is not my favorite part.
Have a fabulous day and thank you for stopping by!

This is the second summer where my friend and I count our UFO's and make an effort to get a lot of them done.  We also try not to spend too much money on fabric and get only what we need to complete a project! I started this Christmas ornament last year!!  Guess I got tired of making so many yoyo's!

Yoyo construction!
I managed to complete the ornament and enjoyed the yoyo making process again after a loooong break!!!  I really like how the ornament turned out.  I am finishing off another Christmas project which I hope to show really soon.
Thank you for stopping by.  Take care until next time!

A Small Fall Wallhanging

Sweet Little Wallhanging
This is a little sample which I made for the quilt store where I work!  It is very cute and I just know that I will be making one for myself to put up at home.  I have the cutest pumpkin mini quilt hanger which will be so sweet with this quilt!  I know fall is not here yet, but in the retail world you have to start early!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!
