I have a son in college (he is a junior this year) who loves making things. I made soup one night and used shank bone in it. I offered him the bone when the meat had cooked off of it and suggested he might like to carve something. Well, he made this shawl pin for my daughter who had just gotten to the end of knitting her shawl. She loves owls!!! I love how the pin part looks like a branch. What a great job Gavin!!!
