I am quilting a snowball quilt at the moment. I have a stencil which I am using to quilt in the white fabric of the snowballed corners and sashing. I am at a loss as to what to quilt in the remaining spaces between the stensils. I am doing a stippling stitch in the snowball. I welcome any suggestions you may have!
your quilting is beautiful Chantal! I have no suggestions, actually quilting quilts is not something I can do (except straight lines! Ha!)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely quilt and your stencil is very beautiful and befitting for February. How about three hearts in a continuous line with the middle upside down. I mean, one sashing could have two hearts to the right with the middle one to the left and the next sashing has a reverse version. Am I making sense? Anyway, my humble two pence. Good luck with the decision. ;^)
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun fabric in your quilt. It's a cute stencil you've used in the open spaces. I see some loops in the design. How about something as simple as duplicating those loops someway in the sashing?
ReplyDeleteWhat if you would make a vine with a heart in that center part...kind of like it's a flower? That's my biggest problem and why I have a closet full of quilt tops unfinished. I can sit there and just stare at that blank canvas and have no idea where to start. Your quilting is beautiful by the way!
ReplyDeleteI like Kyle's idea and would have suggested that too. sweet little heart pattern.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how this quilting is going? I like the idea of a vine connecting the stencils too....
