Much Work, No Finishes - Yet!

I have been working hard on some projects.  The yarn eater afghan is coming along nicely.

 I now have five rows done in a 5 x 5 configuration.  I am going to be adding to the length now.

 It is cheerful and colorful.

Many years ago, before EPP became the "IN THING", I started a hexagon quilt to be a tablecloth for my large kitchen table.  I worked on it and then it became hidden under all the new projects.  I feel the need to finish an old UFO!  So out came the hexagons and I have been working like a mad woman on it.  I am so going to get this puppy finished.  

 I still love it even though some of the fabrics are starting to look fairly dated.  No matter!  I am forging on.  I have made progress since I took these pics a couple of days ago, so I will do an update really soon.  Amazingly I found the red sashing fabric in my stash.  You can't see it in the photo but it is a red background with tiny orange polka dots.  So cool.  Anyway dear friends, thank you for stopping by and I wish you a fantastic weekend.  Enjoy the rest of the Olympics.  I always feel like I am part of history when I watch them - so steeped in tradition.  Sorry about the bad pics - taken on my phone at night.
