Prairie Flower Finish!

I have a finish! I am a huge fan of the Missouri Star Quilt Company's Block Magazine.  If you have not seen one yet I encourage you to get one.  I am sure you will be hooked.  The magazine is $5.99, printed on beautiful paper and does not contain one single advertisement.  The patterns are great and the stories interesting.  This pattern is from Block Magazine and was so fun to put together.  It is called Prairie Flower.  I used Little House on the Prairie fabric.

I free motion quilted on my domestic sewing machine.  I bought stencils for the center white square from the Stencil Company.

I had bought a fat quarter pack of the fabrics and made a scrappy binding cutting strips from the long side of the fat quarter.  I did order some yardage for the borders.  I am so pleased with this quilt.  Now I'm off to pick another pattern from Block Magazine (I am not endorsing this magazine for compensation etc.  I simply like it).  Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a lovely day!

  1. What a terrific finish. It's a wonderful block to highlight cute fabrics. You did a great job machine quilting it yourself. I have that same stencil and have used it many times. I get that magazine( book) too. I haven't made much from them but always think that I will. Maybe I should look through them again. I just got my latest copy in the mail this week.

  5. What a lovely quilt! My daughter-in-law is wanting to make a quilt - I'll have to suggest she check out this magazine because it looks like there might be some good beginner projects in there!
