Tiny Dresdens

I signed up for this cute BOM program at what used to be my local quilt store.   I started making this one just before Christmas and then things got busy and it just lay on the sewing table.  A few days ago I was bound and determined to find the bottom of my sewing table and came across this project.  I thought it was ridiculous that it was just laying there, so I picked it up and finished it.  I was so thrilled with the outcome I thought I would do "April" and at least have the correct month hanging up for a while.

Here it is on the wire frame.  It is such a cute little hanging.  The umbrella is a half a dresden plate.

Well that was fun and quick.  I thought I would then start "May" since I am going to be doing a bit of traveling during May for graduations and to meet my first grand baby.  So BAM, May is done.  I have actually started working on June too.  These cute little hangings measure 6 x 8 inches.

It is so much fun to tackle small projects among all the big quilts and slow stitching paper piecing.

I wish you a happy day and thank you for stopping by to visit my blog.

  1. they are so precious! I am rather addicted to dresdens these days!

  2. I love the concept of partial dresdens to make mini quilts. so pretty!

  3. What a fun idea for the minis... good on you getting those done - and even being ahead of yourself with May done also! Did you find the bottom of your table?!

  4. Super cute and a fun use of those mini Dresdens. You'll have the year done soon at the rate you're going. Great job!
